When you're ready to book your vacation, you can simply apply the funds in your Disney Vacation Account toward the cost. For more program information, please refer to the User Agreement and explore additional FAQs below.

What is a Disney account and how is it related to a Disney Vacation Account?

A Disney account allows you to sign into popular Disney websites and apps such as Disney.com, Walt Disney World Resort, the Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney, ESPN, Disney Store, the My Disney Experience mobile app, the Disneyland mobile app and the Shop Disney Parks app.

You must create a Disney account—or sign into your existing Disney account—to open and access a Disney Vacation Account.

What is the Budget Estimator?

The Budget Estimator lets you estimate the cost of your Disney vacation. It features links to Disney websites that can help you estimate the cost of the components in your vacation package, which could include: accommodations, cruise fare, theme park tickets, airfare, dining, entertainment, recreation and more. An estimate does not create a reservation, and prices may change.

After estimating your vacation budget, you can create a savings plan for your future Disney vacation and start making contributions toward your savings Goal. Once you select your desired destination and time frame, you can set up automatic contributions to your savings account or make one time contributions, and then track your progress on your very own personalized webpage. You will also get motivational emails that let you know how close you are to reaching your vacation savings goals.

What is a contribution?

A contribution is a deposit made to your Disney Vacation Account. Contributions can be made with a debit card, credit card or Disney Gift Card. Making contributions is how you save for your vacation!

How do I make contributions?
When you sign up for a Disney Vacation Account, you can schedule automatic contributions to take place every week, every 2 weeks or every month. When you're ready to book your vacation, there are 2 easy ways to make reservations. Get details about using your Disney Vacation Account to pay for your vacation.

Are there any fees or charges?
Disney will not charge you any fees to create or maintain your Disney Vacation Account. When you use a debit card to make a contribution to your Disney Vacation Account, the money is deducted directly from the checking account tied to your debit card. When you use a credit card to make a contribution, you may incur interest charges on the transaction. Check with the bank issuer of your debit or credit card for interest charges or other fees that may be applicable to your transactions.
Are my funds safe? What protections are there for my Disney Vacation Account?

All contributions to your Disney Vacation Account and all contributions made to other Disney Vacation Accounts in the Program are deposited with a bank in a non-interest bearing deposit account that is insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation ("FDIC"). The bank account is held in the name of "Walt Disney Travel Co Inc as Agent For Benefit of Its Customers Participating in the Disney Vacation Account". Initially, we will use JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. Walt Disney Travel Co., Inc. is not a bank.

Your funds in your Disney Vacation Account are insured by the FDIC up to the coverage limits of FDIC insurance. However, the amounts in your Disney Vacation Account may be combined with any other amounts that you have on deposit with JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. for the purpose of applying the coverage limits of FDIC insurance.

Walt Disney Travel Co., Inc. may move the bank account to one or more other FDIC-insured banks from time to time.

What is the Bonus Program?

You'll be eligible for a $20 Disney Gift Card for every $1000 you spend on qualified vacation purchases with your Disney Vacation Account prior to December 31, 2017 (date subject to extension), up to a total maximum of $500 in Disney Gift Card(s) per household. Your Disney Vacation Account must be active for a minimum of 120 days at the time of spending in order to receive this bonus. All accounts registered to the same address are considered part of the same household.

Qualified vacation purchases include vacation packages for the Walt Disney World Resort or the Disneyland Resort, theme park tickets, room stays, cruise fare, and vacations by Adventures By Disney. Purchases of Disney Gift Cards are not qualified vacation purchases for purposes of this Bonus Program.

Request your Disney Gift Card(s) 4 to 6 weeks in advance of your vacation date to allow time for delivery to your mailing address.

When can I request my bonus?

Once you are eligible for a bonus, you'll be able to request your bonus from the Disney Vacation Account website. Please make sure to request your bonus 4 to 6 weeks prior to the commencement of your vacation to allow time for delivery to your mailing address.

How can I request my bonus?

Sign in to the Disney Vacation Account website and select the Disney Vacation Account you have used to make your vacation purchases. Click on your Account Detail page then select "Request My Bonus" under "Manage Your Account." When requesting your bonus, you'll be asked to confirm your travel start date. Your bonus will be calculated and mailed to your home address approximately 4 to 6 weeks prior to that date so that we may send all eligible bonus funds on a single Disney Gift Card, for your convenience.
